Prof. Nancy Y. Ip

Nancy is an internationally renowned neurobiologist, Morningside Professor of Life Science, and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Harvard Medical School and worked as a senior scientist at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in New York. Professor Ip has long been committed to exploring the frontiers of neuroscience. Her main research areas include neuronal function and plasticity, as well as pathology and drug development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Professor Ip’s research results have been widely recognized by the scientific community. She has published 294 papers and reviews in top international academic journals, and has 55 international technology invention patents. She has been elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences, a foreign academician of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of the World Academy of Sciences, and a founding member of the Hong Kong Academy of Sciences. She has also won several national and international academic awards, including the National Natural Science Award, L’Oreal – UNESCO’s “Outstanding Women Scientists Achievement Award” and was selected as the “Star of China in Science” by Nature, a prestigious scientific journal.

Mr. Chan is a professional accountant and senior international banker with 28 years of experience in financial services and diversified international banking. He has been the COO and Executive Director of two companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the CEO of a large retail catering chain.
Dr. Fanny Ip
PhD MSc BSc | Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Ip holds the Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Master in Microbiology, and Bachelor in Medical Technology, she has over 30 years of research experience including studies on synapse formation as well as applied research and development for neurological disease treatments. She develops Chinese herbal compounds into novel treatments using cutting-edge disease models and platforms. Moreover, she has published approximately 50 research papers and holds 35 patents.
